Sunny day in Autumn

So here are a few magical possibilities that I've enjoyed the last few weeks:

A last summer hillwalk that bagged Lochnagar and 4 other Munros.

A visit to London to see dear friends Karen and Richal from Seattle

and a handful of the whole bushel of friends who grew up in Banchory and now live in London!
It was dinner with Maya & Rav, Claire, and Janine & Kevin -- another Meal with Calum, Meg and Peter, after Peter had proved an invaluable guide to the galleries and exhibitions in the city -- and lunch on a sunny day by the Thames with Lance & Claire and Pete & Ruth.

The Studio 57 Sunday school project this autumn, where we are making creation one day at a time -- classic quote on day three (dry land and growing things) from Finlay when it seemed we were cleaning up just as soon as we'd started:

"It's not fair -- God had 24 hours and we only get 40 minutes."

Another brief London visit to celebrate Paula's marriage with the gals who used to be in my Bible study when they were teenagers!

I was teased for the way I used to ask questions to get them to connect on a Sunday night: "how is the state of your soul -- and just to make it a little easier -- tell us your favourite flavour of ice cream as well!"

Staying with new friends in Durham last month and last week as I've travelled there for supervision and study.

And now it is Banchory in the sunshine for autumn -- out for a quick jaunt up Scolty before a bank of clouds blow in!
